Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level II
About Course
Learn Ultrasonic Testing (UT) from zero and prepare for the Level II exam. The course has 14 interactive animated lessons and 10 practicals on a flaw detector simulator, all with voice-over, two bilingual books (the workbook and the practical guide) you read right inside the course, the Weld Scan Planner for UT and PAUT, and a question bank with practice by topic and a timed mock exam.
Lessons cover wave principles, equipment and controls, modes of wave travel, the sound beam, attenuation and impedance, A-, B- and C-scan displays, transducers and reference blocks, immersion, contact testing and identifying discontinuities. In the simulator you practise straight- and angle-beam calibration, thickness gauging, instrument checks, DAC, plate lamination testing and weld inspection. Everything is in both Indonesian and English. Lesson 1 is free to try.
The UT Equipment Practical Simulator is a virtual ultrasonic flaw detector with the controls of a real one. Calibrate on the IIW block, check the angle and build a DAC on an SDH block, then find hidden flaws in a weld plate and a laminated plate.
